During this unique workshop, local homesteader and permaculture designer, Lauren Craig, will provide some basic permaculture layout and design background basics before helping you decide where to place the various elements you’d like to add to your yard or homestead. Regardless of where you reside (urban, suburban, or rural), if you’d like to add rainwater harvesting, plant a row of berries (or a whole berry patch), plant an orchard, incorporate a flock of chickens, etc., Lauren will discuss the ideal placement of each element and will spend time discussing each participant’s particular site and how they’d best orient the elements of their choosing. Aerial imagery will be brought up for each participant's yard and/or homestead (addresses will be concealed), and an equal amount of time will be devoted to each participant’s site. Participants will receive 20% off Lauren’s line of “ready-to-go” garden design plans which will be available to peruse during class, and she can help determine best placement for each, should you so desire.
