Activities will include Monarch Education,
Live Bluegrass Bands, featuring the
Muleskinner Band and Mad River Railroad,
Butterfly Walk, Prairie Walk, arts and crafts,
food trucks, children’s crafts including a
collaborative art project sponsored by the
Springfield Museum of Art. Youth can enter
the Monarch Butterfly Poetry Contest by
writing an original poem about Monarchs
and submitting to National Trail by July 29.
Poetry contest is open to youth ages 8-15.
Winners will be selected in three age
groups. Sponsored by Veterinary Services of
Springfield.
