Increasing Land Access
The Land Access Project is designed to improve the livelihoods of regenerative farmers, growers and food producers in southwest Ohio. The project’s fundamental mission is to help farmers move from surviving to thriving.
Project LLAMA
Funded by a 2023 grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Farm Service Agency to Agraria, the program focuses on increasing access to land, credit, and markets for farmers through outreach, education, and technical assistance.
Through financial support from the Project L.L.A.M.A. (Local Land & Market Access) Futures Fund, farmers will receive assistance in the acquisition of land to expand growing operations. The program also includes several training programs, such as farm incubators and workshops to help growers overcome zoning and legal challenges; improve connections to markets; develop farmer cooperatives, and strengthen connections throughout the food system.
Agraria's partners in the project include the Oasis Farm, Co-op Dayton, Central State University, the BIPOC Food & Farm Network, and the Tony Wells Foundation.
